Daniel Isler, Co-Founder of Switzerbank.com on “Finding your Banker”
Wednesday, May 21 2008
In today’s webcast we talk to Mr Daniel Isler, co-founder of Switzerbank.com, a Website that helps high net worth individuals (HNWIs) find their ideal banker or asset manager. What is interesting about Switzerbank is their starting point: Their whole value proposition is designed around the task of helping private clients find a banker with whom they may share personal affinities rather than helping them find an institution. They try to achieve this by allowing bankers to post high quality video portraits of themselves on the Switzerbank.com platform. Potential clients can then search the video database according to their own criteria.
Watch the video with Mr Isler online to learn more about Switzerbank and its potential impact on the private banking landscape:
Mr Isler is of course aware that a majority of new private banking relationships originate from referrals. At the same time he stresses that the Internet is becoming a part of daily life for a growing segment of potential clients. He points out that for many potential clients it has become normal to research information on houses and cars on the Internet to get an idea of the market. So why not for private bankers?
Mr Isler also refers to the first successes that Switzerbank has achieved in terms of lead and business generation for the bankers on their platform. He sees Switzerbank as a valuable complementary channel for client acquisition, particularly for younger bankers who are building their book of client relationships.
